How much does it cost to live stream a Funeral?
The standard cost for a live stream of a funeral lasting between 45–90 minutes is £300.
The total cost may vary depending on the following:
The location of the funeral service
We travel across the UK to provide live streaming services. While many funerals take place locally within Manchester and the North West, we are regularly recommended by Funeral Directors, Clergy, and Celebrants across the country. Travel outside the North West may involve a small mileage fee.
The number of locations involved
Most live streams are from a single location, such as a church or graveside. For more complex requests that involve multiple locations, for example, a service at the family home, followed by the ceremony, burial, and wake, a larger team may be needed, which can affect the overall cost.
If you’d like a clear idea of the cost for a specific funeral live stream, please get in touch. There’s no obligation. Simply give us a call or complete the form to outline your requirements, and we’ll respond promptly with a detailed quote. Once received, we’ll give you the time and space to decide.
Where can you stream a Funeral from?
We can live stream a funeral from almost any location where a mobile data signal is available. Using bonded 4G technology, we combine data from several networks to provide a stable and reliable connection.
While most of our live streams are from churches, we’ve also streamed from crematoriums, gravesides, woodland areas, and even a countryside tithe barn. Wherever the setting, a live stream is usually possible.
How can I watch a Funeral Live Stream online?
We’ve made the viewing process straightforward. Once the funeral or memorial service has been booked with us, we will create a private link to the live stream. This link can be shared in advance with friends and family, there is no limit on the number of viewers.
If you have a PDF of the order of service, we can include it on the viewing page as a download, helping those watching remotely feel fully included.
On the day of the service, the stream will begin around 15 minutes before the ceremony starts, giving viewers time to log in and settle ahead of the proceedings.
Who can watch a funeral live stream?
The funeral live stream can be viewed from anywhere in the world. All that’s needed is the link, an internet connection, and a phone, tablet, or computer.
It’s entirely your choice who you share the link with. By default, our streams are not password protected, but this can be arranged if preferred. Everyone with access to the link can view the service as it happens.
Is it weird to Live Stream a Funeral?
Our first funeral live stream was during the first lockdown in 2020, when strict restrictions meant only six people could attend in person. Since then, we have streamed many more services and received overwhelmingly positive feedback.
Families often say it’s a great way for those who can’t attend to feel involved. In some cases, hundreds of people have joined online from around the world.
Thanks to discreet equipment and a minimal setup, we’re able to film with sensitivity, without intruding on the ceremony or those in attendance.
What if my church or crematorium already has a live stream installed?
Some venues have their own systems in place, such as Obitus or Wesley, which provide a simple, unattended streaming option. These services may be suitable for some, though the quality tends to reflect the price.
We recommend asking to see an example of the venue’s live stream before making a decision, so you can choose the option that feels right for you.
Can you watch a Live Stream Funeral Later?
Yes. A recording of the funeral live stream remains available after the event. The original link used for the live stream will continue to work, and the recording will stay online for three months.
Why Live Stream a Funeral?
Many families are now spread across different cities, countries, and time zones. Live streaming allows those who can’t attend in person, whether due to distance, illness, short notice, or other reasons, the opportunity to take part and say their goodbyes.
Is your Funeral Streaming Service for Manchester only
Absolutely not. We may be based in the beautiful city of Manchester, but our team has live-streamed and provided webcast services from all over the country – including from a barn on Worthy Farm, Glastonbury 50 metres from the famous pyramid stage.
